Adobe Premiere is a timeline based video editing software that enables the editing and manipulation of video files. In association with PDMS and NavisWorks, Premiere aids in the development of 3D fly through's of LDB projects as well as a tool for presentation quality videos. ^
AutoCAD is a computer aided drafting tool that gives LDB the capability to design and model structures and environments. AutoCAD provides the ability to work in a 2D or 3D environment thus aiding in the visualization and implementation of projects with increased levels of productivity. Raster Design is an added feature that allows LDB the capability to clean up, embed, and alter old construction documents as well as other image files within our CAD drawings. ^
Civil 3D is a design and drafting program that facilitates a wide range of grading and earthwork projects. Creation of the surface 3D model based on survey or digitized aerial photography data enables the development of sections, alignments and profiles along with corresponding cut and fill quantities. Since the information is dynamic, all design changes are automatically updated to make appropriate revision to the corresponding sections and profiles as well as the earthwork quantity data. ^
Bentley Autopipe is a 3D modeling program used to model piping systems. Autopipe allows the ability to simulate operating conditions that will occur and enables the verification of designs. ^
ETAP is a comprehensive electrical analysis platform for the design, simulation, operation, control, optimization, and automation of generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial power systems. ETAP uses a suite of fully integrated software solutions including arc flash, load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, cable ampacity, transient stability, optimal power flow, device coordination / selectivity and real-time energy management. Its modular functionality can be tailored to fit the needs of any small to large power system and has modules that will support windpower and other distributed generation options. ^
LPILE Plus is a special purpose software program that analyzes drilled pier or caisson design for foundations. It incorporates reinforced concrete analysis with soil analysis to produce pier deflection, shear, and moment diagrams, as well as soil response graphs. ^
Navisworks is a cross-platform tool that enables the compilation of various 3D software. It allows LDB to compile models from numerous design platforms integrating them into a single building or model. Besides its compilation abilities, Navisworks also aides in presentation quality walk through's, animations and renderings. ^
PDMS is a 3D database driven design software and is the primary tool for LDB’s BIM (Building Information Modeling) design. PDMS allows users from different locations the ability to work across multiple disciplines within the same model or building environment. PDMS teamed with other LDB design tools enables the ability for a complete BIM client deliverable. ^
Developed by the University of Kentucky, Pipe 2000 is an advanced hydraulic modeling program designed to calculate utility networks. It analyzes the flow paths and patterns of numerous media including steam, gas, and water. ^
Prism 3D by Quantapoint allows direct interaction and viewing of 3D laser scans and models. By incorporating laser scan technology, LDB is able to access photo-realistic models for virtual site visits and provide current as-built documentation. Laser scans teamed with other LDB design software helps in reducing trips to the field, design time and design clashes. ^
STAAD is a leading structural analysis software program. It is used to model, design and analyze any number of timber, steel, and concrete structures including trusses, plates and frames. ^
